SGPC elections : Some party have concern to sikh students in their manefesto

RELEASING their election manifesto for the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) elections, the leaders of the Panthic Morcha today said that after their coming to power in SGPC, efforts will be made that the institution of Akal Takht does not come under the SGPC.
Addressing a press conference here today after releasing their election manifesto, the Panthic Morcha leaders Bhai Ranjit Singh, Baba Sarbjot Singh Bedi, Professor Jagmohan Singh, Charan Singh Lohara and Jaswinder Singh Khalsa reiterated this. They alleged that at present Joginder Singh Vedanti, jathedar of Akal Takht, was acting as a puppet of SAD president Parkash Singh Badal. But they refused to recognise Vedanti as the jathedar of Akal Takht.
They said after the Panthic Morcha candidates are elected to the SGPC in majority, efforts will also be initiated to review the Sikh Gurdwara Act, in order to remove the drawbacks of the Act.
The Panthic Morcha leaders said their members will work for forming a Sikh Education Fund, setting up a school of Sikh Art, a white paper will be issued on the interference of RSS, Congress and BJP in the functioning of the SGPC.
These leaders said that they welcome the forming of the Pakistan Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee and will urge the Sikhs living in other countries to form Gurdwara Prabandhak Committees in those countries also.
